Nestled in a scenic park overlooking the lush beauty of Irondequoit Bay, this park wedding was anything but typical. It was the perfect fusion of nature’s charm, bohemian whimsy, and unforgettable personal touches.

Here’s how we worked with one incredible couple to create a day that was all about love, laughter, and a kick-ass good time.

From the moment the bride reached out, we knew this wedding was going to be special. Her vision? Simple: a rustic boho wedding that embraced the fall season while keeping things chill and full of personality.

With only a few essentials to guide us (the lodge venue, a boho vibe, and earthy color tones), we let our creativity flow to craft a celebration as unique as the couple themselves.

The ceremony was set against the picture-perfect backdrop of Irondequoit Bay, surrounded by towering trees and the gorgeous golden autumn hues of upstate New York. The rustic Abraham Lincoln Lodge was decked out in earthy boho-inspired decor and custom designed signage to guide the experience from start to finish. And throughout, we carefully curated unconventional, personal touches that made the day uniquely theirs.

What set this wedding apart were the unconventional, personal details that made guests say, “Wow, this is so them!” Here are just a few standouts:

Cozy vibes: A rustic ladder draped with cozy blankets greeted guests, inviting them to stay warm during the outdoor festivities.

Boho with a touch of glam: layered vintage carpets lined with arrangements of pampas grass, greenery, and mini disco balls lined the outdoor ceremony aisle - because we love a little boho glam sparkle!

Surprise Wedding Favors: Forget Jordan almonds or monogrammed coasters. This couple went with mini liquor bottles tied with tags that read, “Take a shot, we tied the knot!” and, for an extra playful twist, custom lighters and blunts with a “Let’s get lit” message. (And yes, they double-checked—it’s your wedding, so anything’s allowed!)

Fun and Games: Between the outdoor ceremony and indoor reception, guests could let loose with a game of cornhole on custom-designed boards, or kick it a bit college-style with a game of beer pong! Who said weddings can’t have a little friendly competition?

S’mores Bar & Bonfire: When the sun set, guests headed outside to toast marshmallows at the bonfire, using pre-packaged s’mores kits. With the forest as a backdrop, it was a cozy, magical way to end the night.
